Holistic-style  Riding Instruction/Training

Laura’s experience in riding instruction and training is in low level dressage, beginner jumping and western riding with an emphasis on building a balanced, secure seat before moving on in difficulty.

Laura’s holistic approach to riding instruction and training was born from suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia .  Using her understanding of how important the mind/body connection is to dealing with physical disabilities has enabled Laura to teach riders more effectively.    She then takes from her vast background in natural horsemanship, classical dressage, jumping and western and combines it with her experience in the mind/body connection. The combination has helped many riders gain body awareness and the ability to be present and clearly communicate with and ride their horses.

My style of teaching is most effective with:

·        Women (20s and up), children.

·        First time horse owners.

·        Riders who need to go back to basics and re-build a proper foundation.

·        Beginner/Intermediate riders.

·        Riders who are – Fearful, got injured before, emotional issues, physical problems/limitations, returning riders.

·        Riders who are lacking in a solid foundation in horsemanship.

·        Riders who are lacking a connection with their horse or having communication problems.

·        Riders who want to put in the time and build a deep bond with their horse
